We have worked on many projects throughout the Town of Williamstown, but none as prominent or controversial as the Field Park Rotary. The challenge was to slow down vehicular traffic, provide a means for pedestrians to access field park itself and to do so within a reasonable budget all while maintaining the integrity of this historic junction between State Routes 2 & 7. Add to that the necessity to provide handicap access to the Town’s Veterans’ memorial, and, according to Town Manager Peter Fohlin, “Pretty much all of Field Park needs to be corrected”.
Bid in the Spring of 2009, construction was completed in Fall of that year. The outcome, per Mr. Fohlin, “…..Our experience with Guntlow and Associates, DelSignore Blacktop Paving, and their subcontractors has been the best of any construction project we have ever enjoyed”.
