In 2005, working with the City of North Adams, we developed a Master Plan for the expansion of Alcombright Field. This involved the production of phased plans and associated cost estimates for the development of the 17 acre municipal recreational field. As funding became available, construction on the first two phases was completed. Phase I consisted of two soccer fields, two softball fields, three tee-ball fields and one Babe Ruth field; Phase II included construction of two parking areas, a playground and installation of underground conduit and utility runs for future field lighting and concessions building. Since that time, the City was able to secure grant funding for erection of sports lighting and the local vocational school constructed a concessions, restrooms and storage building.
